If you use the Modern menu, introduced in Attaché 18.1 (May 2018), you can create custom workflows so you can easily access frequently used tasks and processes. Workflows can be created per user, per company. Supervisors can also copy custom workflows from one user to another, subject to the usual menu access rights.
Create a custom workflow
To create a custom workflow:
Ensure you are using the Modern Menu. To change to the Modern menu, choose File | User Preferences and in Preferred Menu Style select Modern style.
Select a module from the left-hand menu, for example, Customers.
Select the Custom Workflows tab.
To add an Attaché task to the workflow, in the Search field, type a keyword for the task you want to add. For example, to add Customer Order Entry, simply type order and then select Orders Create or Modify.
You can also create a workflow task by adding a button and linking it to a URL. For example, to link to Google, type the URL: https://www.google.com
If you wish to customise the text on the workflow button you can edit the label.
To add the button to the workflow, either drag the button down to an empty cell or click the button and then click an empty cell.
You can add lines and arrows in the same manner, using the above icons.
To clear a cell, click the red X at the top right corner.
When finished, click View to see and save the completed workflow.
Note: You can adjust the workflow at any time by selecting Edit.
Copy custom workflows from one user to another
When copying custom workflows between users, menu access rights are applied. This means if the copy-to user does not have menu access rights to a task, that task will not be displayed in their workflow.
To copy custom workflows from one user to another:
Browse to the Users folder in your Attaché company resources folder, for example, Attache\Resources\COMPANY\Users\.
Select the user folder you wish to copy from, for example: SUPERVISOR.
Choose the workflow (for example: Customer_Workflow.json, General Ledger_Workflow.json) and copy the file to the required user's folder. (Custom workflows have a file extension of .json.)
